On Thursday, 19th January 2023, at the Opening Night: A Taste of Sundance event, Dakota Johnson humiliated Armie Hammer, joking that had she starred in the movie “Call Me by Your Name”, he would have had the chance to devour her.
Dakota Johnson Humiliates The Disgraced Armie Hammer-‘Who Knew Cannibalism Was So Popular?’
Hammer, aged 36, has been out of public view since a female named Effie accused him of rape and his ex-partners, Courtney Vucekovich and Paige Lorenze, accused him of sexual misconduct.
Meanwhile, another woman connected to him, Lorenze, who is 24 years old, stated that Hammer utilized a blade to inscribe the letter “A” close to her genital area.
In January 2021, Vucekovich, revealed that during their relationship, the actor, who has fallen into disgrace, expressed his wish to “barbecue” and eat her.
When praising the film, Call Me by your Name’s, director Luca Guadagnino, Dakota took a chance to shade Armie. In her comments, she said: “Sadly, I wasn’t in [‘CMBYN’].
“Luca had asked me to play the role of the peach, but our schedules conflicted. Thank God, though, because I would’ve been another woman that Armie Hammer had tried to eat.”
The Los Angeles Police Department is still conducting an inquiry into the actor which is why Dakota’s comments were controversial to say the least.
Initially, the joke earned a few giggles and snickers, yet after a tense silence, Johnson was given an enthusiastic round of clapping and cheering. And she continued to revel in the jokes by stating the following: “Who knew cannibalism was so popular?”
The fans on social media had a lot to say on the matter. A certain subset of people made it clear that the joke was not appropriate since an investigation was still ongoing.
One person wrote: “NASTY, unnecessary comment from a woman whose entire career is based on nepotism. Mediocre talent. He’s paid a huge price for what may or may not be mental issues. You won’t be satisfied til he commits suicide?”
