Matthew Blevins made his television debut in Unexpected’s third season. Although he had impregnated Hailey Tomlinson, his teenage lover, the two did not get along well. Even as a young man, he had a wandering eye, leading him to find Hailey 2 Tilford, her best friend. Even though the girls were sitting next to each other, Hailey 1 was unaware he was messaging Hailey 2.

He and Hailey 2 eventually got acquainted, things happened and they discovered they were expecting a child. This is not Matthew Blevins‘ first run-in with the law; at one point, Hailey 2 even obtained an EPO against him. So, it makes sense that he would want to avoid getting into trouble, if only for the benefit of his kids.
It appears that is not the case now. On December 28, 2022, Matthew Blevins was taken into custody, according to @tlc.unexpectedteaa. He was arrested for second-degree robbery, fourth-degree assault (minor injury), and failing to appear on a misdemeanor summons.
While the assault is classified as a misdemeanor, the robbery is a felony. According to their comments, fans did not appear to be too surprised. “Even back when he was on the show as a teenager he looked like someone who was heading down that road to jail smh poor babies,” one noted. Another person said, “Where is TLC finding these kids, and how many baby daddies are going to be locked up now??”
One fan was disappointed that it wasn’t Jason Korpi from the Season 5 cast. Matthew Blevins was no longer a part of two Haileys’ lives, especially Hailey 1. Hailey 1 began dating Darren Amos, who gave her a lot of support while she raised her daughter, Kinsley.
He shared numerous pictures of her young daughter and treated her like his own. Sadly, there was a period a few months ago when the couple’s relationship had some difficulty. Matthew appears to have been involved in this. They did truly part ways for a while, and according to Darren, he was forced to delete all connections to Kinsley from his social media.
