Tiffany Stratton is back, and her time on the injured list did little to curb her growing ego. She would claim that no one in the division was able to reach her level of progress, even with her on the shelf for months – and would try to take command of the entire women’s locker room for her own use. Indi Hartwell quickly shut that down, and tonight looks to put Stratton down in singles action.
Recap Of Bron Breakker & Grayson Waller’s WWE PC Brawl
Kicking off the show however was a recap from Grayson Waller on Instagram yesterday. He would provoke Bron Breakker in the WWE Performance Center, handing his phone to a trainee and kicking up a fuss. Waller would go as far to throw a water bottle at the second generation superstar, leading to Breakker throwing the first punch – with a brawl breaking out in response.
Eventually, Waller would have Breakker pulled off him, before being berated by Norman Smiley. It’s clear these two are going to tear each other apart at Vengeance Day, with a steel cage looking like an even better idea, if not just to protect the fans of WWE in the arena. Both men have little traditional cage match experience – but have both competed in WarGames.
Tiffany Stratton Plays The Referee Like A Fiddle
Hartwell would attack before the entrance of Stratton was even done. A boot to the face would land, before a dropkick. Stratton would beg off before throwing Hartwell face first into the middle turnbuckle – only to be dumped from the ring moments later. Using the low ground to her advantage, Stratton would hit a hotshot over the top rope, before a springboard senton for a two count.
Back in the ring, Stratton would apply a top wrist lock – forcing Hartwell to fight back to her feet. A handspring elbow would land in the corner before the running senton for a near fall before going back to the top wrist lock. Hartwell would again fight up to her feet, tossing Stratton off with an arm drag.
Some running lariats would follow, before the spinebuster for a near fall. Hartwell would land a flush big boot, with Stratton saying she injured her knee to get an opening to hit an elbow smash. Rolling Fireman’s Carry into the Best Moonsault Ever would follow – and this was over just like that.
Thea Hail Celebrates Chase U Style
Last week was a monumental moment in the career of Thea Hail, as she scored her first victory as a professional wrestler. She would defeat Valentina Feroz, able to take her down in under five minutes. Tonight, all of Andre Chase University will celebrate this massive win, as we get the Thea Hail victory celebration!
Andre Chase & Duke Hudson would be on hand off an award to Thea Hail. She excelled in the classroom, but failed to find the same success in the ring. That changed last week – as last week she showed skill and confidence, staring fear in the eyes and pushing through. Because of this, Andre Chase gave Thea Hail a plaque in honor of her first win.
The NXT fans would chant that she deserves it – but one person who disagreed with all this was JD McDonagh. He was disgusted at what NXT has become, handing out participation awards? Chase U has a horrible record, and frankly are losers. Andre Chase would stand up for Chase U, saying this means everything to him.
JD would ask for him to get out of his ring, before Chase pulled off his dean’s robe and punched McDonagh out and sent him to the floor.
JD McDonagh Takes Advantage Of A Lapse Of Attention
We’d cut back to this match after a commercial break, with the match made official. During the break, Chase was thrown right into the ring steps – and as we came back, he took a backdrop suplex. Chase would try to turn things around with a sleeper hold, with McDonagh blocking into a headlock.
McDonagh was dropped with a backdrop, before taking the Russian Leg Sweep for the two count. Side Effect would follow, with Chase trying for a backslide shortly after for a near fall. McDonagh would regain his footing for a lariat, letting him set up the Devil Inside suplex, with Chase blocking into a Canadian Destroyer for a two count – McDonagh getting his foot on the bottom rope.
Hudson would leave the ringside area after seeing Chase get hung up on the top rope for going for the finishing crossbody. Chase was distracted, and fell to the Devil Inside Suplex for the finish. Will this lead to Hudson leaving Chase U? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
