YouTube Star, Melanie Ham has died at just 36 years old. Melanie’s husband Robert Ham announced on Instagram that she died on January 12th following her battle with cancer.

Melanie’s husband writes in the caption, quote, “It with a heavy heart and deep sadness I share the news of the passing of my sweet, amazing, beautiful wife Melanie. If you’ve been following our journey, I am sure you were like us, hopeful she could defeat this insidious disease.”

Before Melanie died, she consistently updated her fans about her battle with cancer. In one of her videos, she said “Since we discovered that the tumour I had on my kidney about a year and a half ago came back. And so came back in multiple locations in my belly and so I had a big surgery to try and get rid of some of those.”
Though Melanie died just nine days before the couple’s 16th anniversary, Robert insists Melanie fought like a warrior queen. In another video, Melanie said “from the scan result it’s just like you know that the fear is a real thing. Anxiety is a real thing and so I am feeling much lighter and able to sort of just breathe a little bit.”
Melanie Had A Big Heart
The YouTube Star known for her knitting, quilting and crocheting tutorials has nearly one million subscribers on her channel. The crafting pro also shared many DIY videos where she made some beautiful crochet. The only thing bigger than Melanie’s talent was her heart. Before she passed on, she visited Honduras and spent time visiting single moms like her who sewed for a living.
In August 2020, Melanie began sharing her health journey with her followers after announcing she had a cancerous tumour. The mother of two continued keeping fans up to date on her surgeries and cancer treatment. As Robert and the couple’s two children continue to mourn, they will also celebrate.
Melanie’s life will be honoured at an upcoming memorial where colourful clothing is encouraged. May God grant her family fortitude to bear the loss and may her soul rest in the blossom of the Lord.
