Since calling for an Iron Man match against MJF at AEW Revolution, Bryan Danielson has been battling week after week to earn that title shot. He’s taken down Konosuke Takeshita, Bandido, Brian Cage, and Timothy Thatcher so far – but tonight he locks up with RUSH. MJF has made it clear that he wants Danielson’s arm broken – or atleast his title plans ruined.
While Cage & Thatcher might have failed to get the job done, RUSH is always motivated by a big payday, and five suitcases stuffed with cash are potentially waiting for him tonight. Another $500,000 dollars are waiting for RUSH. This is the final match standing between Danielson & MJF – but it won’t be an easy one.
RUSH & MJF Try To Screw Bryan Danielson
Before this match, RUSH would try to trap Danielson in the trainer’s room – where he was checking on the condition of Konosuke Takeshita. A count out victory would take Danielson out of the mix for Revolution, and RUSH hit the ring with ease. MJF would come out next, telling Aubrey Edwards to start the count – because Danielson isn’t in the ring.
She’d follow the rules, as Danielson smashed through the door. With MJF yelling in her air to count faster, Aubrey would take her time with the count – and Danielson hit the ring. RUSH would be quick to attack, ripping Danielson’s shirt off before some chops. A dropkick to the back of the neck would follow, as MJF would join commentary – mad that his scheme failed.
RUSH would keep the pressure on Danielson, stomping on his shoulder in the corner. German Suplex and running knee smash would follow, before Danielson was driven into the barricade. RUSH would bust Danielson open by slamming him head first into a steel chair, before running him into the barricades again.
Danielson was rolled into the ring, and would fight back with some stiff strikes using his right arm. RUSH was getting overwhelmed, before a Belly To Belly Suplex off the apron – a bloody Danielson bouncing off the floor. Danielson would take some more stiff elbow smashes on the floor, before Bulls Horns was set up – with RUSH instead hitting a kick to the face.
The American Dragon Slays El Toro Blanco
RUSH was getting cocky, and Danielson would try to get the LeBell Lock applied – with RUSH able to get the bottom rope. Danielson would catch RUSH on the floor with a jumping knee strike, before the missile dropkick off the top rope. Some kicks would follow from Danielson, before some chops in the corner.
RUSH would take the best shots of Danielson and come back twice as hard, once again setting up the Bulls Horns – but taking a running dropkick. Danielson would be hit with the Jumping Elbow Smash and Straight Jacket Piledriver, with RUSH pulling out a cocky cover – allowing Danielson to kick out. Bulls Horns was set again, but Danielson rushed in with the Running Busaiku Knee for a two count.
RUSH & Danielson would trade headbutts in the middle of the ring- getting the fans on their feet. Danielson avoided a German Suplex, and the second Busaiku Knee landed – and we have our AEW Revolution main event. March 5th – San Francisco, MJF vs. Bryan Danielson in a 60 Minute Iron Man Match!
MJF would hit the ring and punch Danielson using the Dynamite Diamond Ring before applying Salt Of The Earth. Security would tear MJF off Danielson, hopefully preventing injury.
