‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re all set to get over hump day with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
This looks like it’s going to be a fun character building episode with some potentially fun storyline twists and plenty of mistrust to go around twice. Let’s dive in!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday, March 1: Intelligence gathering
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) has sent some in Genoa City into a tail spin either do to the surprise of her actions or the fact she appears to have softened toward Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).
Neither camp is wrong, and to figure out why and how they can salvage the prospect of buying McCall Unlimited, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Victoria Newman (Amelie Heinle) are going to dig into why they think Ashley crossed over.
This is, of course, pure speculation on their part since they don’t have anything else to go on yet, and it’s going to be fun seeing them dissect the possible reasons for Ashley buying up Tucker’s debt.
We think they’ll stick with the theory that she’s trying to protect Tucker and they aren’t that far off if we delve below the surface.
In a way, Ashley is protecting Tucker as she’s trying to get him to prove he’s a changed man. By buying up his debt, she’s in the driver’s seat and can see how he reacts instead of letting someone else pull on his leash.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday, March 1: Devon takes control
Speaking of holding Tucker’s leash, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will take advantage of Tucker being told what to do by sitting down and giving him a chance to explain what he wants.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers expect this to be a fun scene as Tucker will do his best to sell Devon on buying McCall Unlimited.
Devon will think it’s another trick or lie and Tucker has something more planned, and the more Tucker protests the more Devon will play defense.
In the end, the only way this will work is if Tucker hands him the company and Devon can have full control without any interference. Devon will then be happy and open to trusting him, but if he thinks Tucker’s playing him for a second all bets are off.
In the end, Tucker may inform Devon that Ashley bought his debt in a way to help bring them together, but whether or not Devon believes it is another story.
