Kate Middleton Praised For Taking Selfie With Autistic Royal Fan-‘Real Class And Can’t Be Faked’
She had gone to Leeds Kirkgate Market to talk about the significance of early childhood years, which is the theme of her new Shaping Us initiative.
When the mother-of-three went to the market, a self-proclaimed royal enthusiast who revealed he has some degree of autism asked her to take a picture with him and confessed that he was very anxious.
Autism is a neuro-developmental problem with differing levels of intensity that will follow someone through life, which is normally detectable from an early age.
It is mainly expressed through issues with socialising and communicating, as well as limited thought processes and behaviours. Despite that being the case, Kate allayed the man’s worries as she took the selfie with him.
In the video, the princess can be heard praising the royal enthusiast after he managed to take a picture of the two of them together.
The video begins with Kate walking through the market and an unknown man in the crowd shouting: “Can I get a selfie, Sorry… I’m just really nervous,” to which Kate replied: “Please, don’t worry. It’s OK. We all get nervous.”
The fans on social media were full of praise for Kate, as it showed that she was willing to go the extra mile in order to fulfill her duties. After all, there is nothing in the royal protocol to suggest that she is obligated to take selfies.
One person wrote: “Genuine and down to earth and a natural with the public, beautiful future Queen consort,” while another person stated: “What a kind thing to do and say. That’s real class and can’t be faked. Ever.”
