While it’s unfortunate that it took a tribute match for the late Jay Briscoe before a Briscoe was on AEW television, Mark Briscoe made his debut in January 2023 against ROH legend and contemporary/friend of Dem Boys, Jay Lethal. Now it looks as though Mark Briscoe is officially #AllElite.
Mark Briscoe Officially Joins All Elite Wrestling Following Match on AEW Dynamite
On the 2/15 episode of AEW Dynamite, Briscoe took on fellow ROH star Josh Woods. After his well-received match with Lethal, his follow-up bout was another impressive showing by the 13-time ROH World Tag Team champion.
Following the match, AEW owner Tony Khan tweet an #AllElite graphic for Mark Briscoe confirming that he was in the company. Important to note is that at the time of Jay Briscoe’s death, the Briscoe Brothers were Tag Team champions in Ring of Honor.
In a follow-up tweet, Khan explained that Mark Briscoe would wrestle in both AEW and ROH. It is also expected that he will be on the debut episode of ROH’s new program on the ROH app.
What are some match ups you’re looking forward to on the AEW stage for Briscoe. Personally, I’d like to see him square up with Eddie Kingston or Jon Moxley but share some of your picks in the comments!
