During New Years Dash, we would see Minoru Suzuki & El Desperado come to the aid of Ren Narita. Give the past of Suzuki and his tendency to abuse Young Lions – this came as a surprise, and over the course of the New Beginning tour, they’ve learned to get along. Infact, they have become a strong trio – and now look to claim the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championships. House of Torture has been reluctant to defend their titles, but tonight they have to defend or be stripped – and intend to go down swinging.
El Desperado, Minoru Suzuki & Ren Narita Work Together To Win Gold
House of Torture attacked Narita on his way down ramp, starting with the advantage. Suzuki was whipped into the barricade, and EVIL would brag in the ring. Desperado & Suzuki were choked in the ring, as Narita was still trying to recover on the ramp. Yujiro Takahashi would keep the pressure on Desperado, whipping him into the exposed steel of the corner.

A trip from Dick Togo would finally get Suzuki under control, before EVIL would drag him to the time keepers desk and choked him with the microphone cord. Narita would roll down the ramp, as Suzuki got a double face rake in the corner. EVIL would choke Suzuki using a T-Shirt, as Narita finally reached the apron and was dropped by EVIL.
This gave Suzuki the opening he needed to get some stiff strikes in – and Narita finally hit the ring. EVIL took some stiff kicks to the chest, before the Half Hatch Suplex for a two count. Belly To Belly was blocked, before EVIL raked the eyes. Takahashi would hit the Fisherman Buster, but only got a two count. Someone Will Be On The Next Flight From Japan
The history of New Japan Pro Wrestling is about to change – as Hikule’o meets Jay White in a Loser Leaves Japan match. Jay White is a two time world champion in NJPW, and in the prime of his career – one of the top names in the company. Hikule’o meanwhile is viewed as someone made of pure potential, a future main event star of the industry. Losing either will be a blow to the company, and while NJPW Strong might benefit – it could also lead to an AEW or WWE scooping up the loser.
There was an air of tension in the building as both men reached the ring – with Hikule’o saying this is the end of an era. White would hide in the ropes, trying to get Hikule’o DQ’d – before trying to lure him to the floor. Hikule’o would hit a big boot to the side of the face, before the Kevin Nash style back elbow smashes in the corner.
White avoided the big powerslam, and sent Hikule’o down to the floor. Trying to follow, White would take a heavy chop on the floor. Hikule’o would choke White on the floor, nearly getting DQ’d in the process before throwing White over the barricade and almost into the crowd! White was pulled back into the barricade, before the powerslam into the post was blocked.
Hikule’o would be shoved into the ring post, before having his face slammed off the apron. White would tackle Hikule’o over the barricade – before stomping away back in the ring. A snap DDT in the ring would follow, White getting a one count.
Jay White Must Leave Japan
White would throw some stiff chops, before being chucked right into the corner pad. Hikule’o would hit the big throat thrust, before hitting the lariat. White took refuge in the corner, only for the running splash into the powerslam for a near fall. Big Boot was avoided in the corner, and White hit a deadly chop block.
Another chop block would quickly follow, and Complete Shot would follow. Deadlift German was too much for White – but the Saito Suplex was not. Bladebuster would land, but again just a one count. Sleeper Suplex was avoided with a back elbow before another chop block to the back of the leg. White would attack the legs some more in the corner, before just whipping the head of Hikule’o into the corner.
Gedo would distract the referee was Hikule’o was beaten with the steel chair, before the Kiwi Crusher. This would only get a two count, before White hit some stiff chops. Hikule’o would fire back, with White coming back for more and more. Snap Powerslam would land, and Chokeslam was set – only for White to take out the referee. Low Blow would follow on Hikule’o, with White walking into a lariat.
Powerslam was blocked into the Blade Runner, but White would go for a second instead of the pinfall. He’d be set up the Last Ride powerbomb instead, and barely managed to kick out. White would be pulled off the mat, dropped with the chokeslam and this one was over. Jay White has to leave Japan!
