Lately, we have seen a lot of talent from the now defunct NXT UK make their names known as part of the regular NXT roster. With the likes of Tyler Bate, Gallus, Isla Dawn and JD McDonagh joining the mix – the roster got a much needed boost in technical wrestling skill. However, a few names are still missing – including Ilja Dragunov, who has wrestled some epic matches in NXT against the likes of Bron Breakker & GUNTHER, and Meiko Satomura – the final boss of women’s wrestling. Ahead of NXT Vengeance Day, Shawn Michaels has given updates on these big names.
Shawn Michaels Wants Ilja Dragunov & Meiko Satomura Back On NXT TV, Understands The Life Comes First
During the media call for NXT Vengeance Day, Shawn Michaels would be asked about the visa issues that certain names have faced – and if that is what is holding up the NXT returns of Ilja Dragunov & Meiko Satomura. Michaels would have the following to say.
“Much like several months ago, we want them here and love having them here. A lot of it is availability, a lot of it is, as you said, visa issues. A lot of it, also, that is a big career move and life difference. Those are all things we want people to consider before they make that move. Nothing would thrill me more than to have Ilja and Meiko here on a regular basis. They are phenomenal talent. We’re thrilled about Gallus being back and Tyler Bate being back. As far as who is to come in the future, a lot of that is up to the talent themselves and, also, there are visa issues, but we’re waiting on a long-term commitment from some people and we understand that’s not an easy decision to make.”
Other NXT UK talent who have been missing from TV include Joe Coffey of Gallus, Nathan Frazer, Noam Dar, and Blair Davenport. This past Wednesday saw the debut of Stevie Turner, the latest ex-NXT UK name to make her way to the United States.
