It appears that Thunder Rosa is trying to mend fences with the AEW women’s locker room following several situations of being particularly rough with her opponents.
Thunder Rosa is Trying to Mend Fences and Cool Things Down Between Her and the AEW Women’s Roster
As we know, wrestling requires cooperation in order to reduce the likelihood of career derailing or ending injuries. It’s an expectation that wrestlers take care of each other in-ring and during physical angles given the feats that are performed.
So, failure to do that core duty is going to see a wrestler go over like a fart in church—which is the climate Thunder Rosa is trying to alleviate. After all, she still has time on her contract and she’ll have to work with her peers in the division.
A meeting was held on February 8, 2023 Dynamite taping which was described as “productive.” The meeting also served as a means to clear the air and start fresh—basically a second chance for Rosa.
Currently, the former AEW Women’s Champion is doing Spanish commentary duties for AEW broadcasts. There is still no ETA on her in-ring return. Following her injury in September 2022, there was apparently peace in the women’s locker room and perhaps the time.
Could the time away and seeing that things are better when everyone cooperates have pushed Thunder Rosa to make amends? Or do you believe the threat to her bank account because of poor in-ring and backstage behavior moved her to change?
