On Monday Night Raw, Rhea Ripley announced that she would be challenging the Smackdown Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair, at WrestleMania. If this is the case, there is a chance that Ripley will win and become part of Friday nights. Hopefully, the Judgement Day will move to Smackdown with her and here is what we could expect.
Mami is in Charge
I think that few people could’ve imagined that when Edge formed the Judgement Day faction with Damian Priest, that they would turn out being one of the top three acts in the company in 2023.
They added Rhea Ripley and people were skeptical. They took away Edge and replaced him with Finn Balor, and for a long time, they were treading water for a while.
Then they added Dominik and Rhea came into the forefront of the group. That story is what really made the group into what it is today.
Now, Rhea is the star that fans always knew that she was and many people will say that she is the actual leader of the group.
While they have never said that she was the leader, most fans came to that conclusion because no matter who is in a match out of the group, she is always a focal point somehow.
I think that this is fresh and great. Having one of WWE’s top female talents as the leader of one of their best groups is great. The fans buy into it more than they do Finn Balor being the leader.
At the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter if he is the leader or not, he is still the most obvious person to be the top singles star out of the guys.
If Rhea goes to Smackdown, I am sure that the rest of the Judgement Day guys will follow her to the blue brand.
What Would Judgement Day do on Smackdown
This is the big question and I would say a lot. Rhea, of course, will have a complete women’s division to herself to run. She has been on Raw for the entire time she has been on the main roster. It is always good when you get fresh matchups.
I can see her having a great, extended program with Charlotte that could last until Summerslam if they don’t run the match into the ground like Vince was notorious for doing.
Also, I can see her having great matches and feuds with Shayna Baszler, Raquel Rodriguez, and Emma.
As for the other members, I can see them taking over every division. Not technically as far as all of them holding gold, but having representation in all divisions.
Depending on how the group goes on Smackdown, I can see Finn Balor being in the post Roman world title scene. I say this because I think that it might be possible that they add another wrestler.
If they add another member, I think that they could do something cool with Cameron Grimes, Von Wagner, or even Quincy Elliott. If this happens, Damion Priest would be in the Intercontinental title picture.
Dominik and let’s say, Quincy Elliott, would be in the tag team title picture. All of them should have something that don’t involve each other to do, but work as a unit to achieve those goals.
The next step for the group will be for Finn Balor and Damion Priest to take a step up in character work like Rhea and Dom has recently on Raw. I think that Priest would be a great unhinged character and Finn could be a great mastermind character.
