While Triple H currently embraces the present and the future with his booking of WWE superstars, one part of the present that he has no love for is the WWE Universal title. You could say that it does nothing for him and apparently, he’s considered retiring it.
Triple H Isn’t a Fan of the WWE Universal Championship and Allegedly Considered Axing the Title
When Triple H was active full-time, the World Heavyweight and WWE Championship were the two top prizes in the company. However, the WWE Universal title was introduced in 2016 with the Brand Split and was presented as RAW’s main title. For those who forgot, Finn Balor for the first Universal champion.
When speaking to GiveMeSport, Triple H mentioned wanting two World titles in the company later this year. That points to plans that will at least see the Undisputed WWE Universal title broken up by SummerSlam of this year.
If anything, we could see the World Heavyweight title return to WWE television unless the Universal title has been received extremely well. On that note, what do you think of Triple H’s plans to drop the Universal title? Is it the best move or should the title be left alone?
