The cause of Ryan Edwards‘ arrest was due to the fact that he sent texts to his estranged wife Mackenzie, thus violating the bar on the communication stipulations in a protective order.
Why Was Teen Mum Star Ryan Edwards Arrested?
On Thursday, 2nd March 2023, the court documents indicated the 35-year-old had sent multiple messages to Mackenzie after a mandate not to contact her was issued.
One message said: “My god I don’t haven’t [sic] to live my life without you! Sorry,” while another remarked: “For what it’s worth, I’m sorry and I do miss you.”
According to court records acquired by The US Sun, Tennessee police secured warrants on the 23rd of February shortly after apprehending Ryan for pestering Mackenzie.
On the 10th of February, the law enforcement arrested Ryan on counts of intimidation, being in possession of a controlled substance, and breaching the restraining order his spouse had acquired the day prior.
Before Ryan was caught, he posted a picture of Mackenzie’s torso to his social media page, along with a disparaging comment: “If you guys have never seen a spineless s**t this is one.
“They take your money sleep with anything that looks at them. But they must have a wife to [sic]. God what a joke. It’s sad really.”
This clearly demonstrates that Mackenzie has no intention of getting back with Ryan, despite the fact that they do have children together. This is understandable when we look at the manner in which he had allegedly treated her.
She has shared the details of the alleged domestic abuse incidents that have occurred since their marriage in 2017. Her following comments confirmed as much: “Ryan punched holes in the walls and doors.
“[He] held me up by my neck to the wall. Threw me down in hallway and said if he could not have me no one could.”
