When looking at potential WrestleMania opponents for Brock Lesnar – many overlooked Omos. The Nigerian Giant however is looking to stake his claim to the top of WWE, and with MVP guiding him – there’s a chance for a major shock tonight.
The experience of Lesnar against giants is clear, but his ability to suplex or F5 Omos is unclear, which could be the deciding factor here tonight.
The Beast Incarnate Slays The Nigerian Giant In Spectacular Fashion
Omos was able to look down at Lesnar, and blocked a double leg attempt – stuffing Lesnar before throwing him across the ring.
Lesnar tried for a German Suplex, but took an elbow to the face before being slammed down to the mat. Omos would keep the scoop slams coming, before locking in a Bear Hug in the middle of the ring.
It’s rare to say that Lesnar is being manhandled, but Omos was doing just that. Lesnar started to break free, only to be driven hard into the corner.
Another scoop slam would follow, and another Bear Hug would be applied. Lesnar would battle his way free, but ran right into a chokeslam for a two count.
Omos would run into the ringpost as Lesnar made a last second dodge, and followed up with a trio of German Suplexes. The F5 was set – but his back gave out on the first attempt. Second time, Lesnar was able to get Omos up and dropped him hard – securing the victory.
Four Teams Show The Power Of The Womens Tag Team Division
The WWE women’s tag team division has been growing over the past few years – and tonight four of the most promising teams on the roster get a chance to show their skills at WrestleMania.
Notably, Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler are in the field – a clear favorite team, given the WrestleMania history of Rousey. Even with no titles on the line, it’s easy to expect the winners to get a title shot down the line – which will drive everyone to bring their best.
Liv Morgan & Natalya would kick things off, with Liv hitting a Codebreaker and Hurricanrana before tagging in partner Raquel Rodriguez.
Big Boot would be avoided, and Natalya tagged in Chelsea Green – who was teaming with Sonya Deville tonight. Green hit a missile dropkick, and Raquel didn’t even budge. Deville would be thrown away by Raquel, before Baszler took a triple powerbomb.
Ronda Rousey Doesn’t Get Paid By The Hour
Shotzi would hit a suicide dive before Green looked to hit a dive herself, with Raquel helping her find the motivation to jump from the top rope. Raquel would launch Liv to the floor with a powerbomb, landing on Natalya, Deville & Shotzi.
Back in the ring, Shotzi was thrown with a Fallaway Slam before the Corkscrew Elbow Drop. Powerbomb was set, with Deville hitting a chop block and helping Green hit a DDT. Running knee would land, and Raquel was driven from the ring with a boot from Green.
Shotzi & Natalya would hit the Hart attack, before Green & Deville would end up in a double sharpshooter. Liv broke the submission up with a diving codebreaker. Shotzi would take Oblivion, with Ronda tagging herself in, slapping on the armbar to win the match.
