At Double Or Nothing, Taya Valkyrie gets her second shot at Jade Cargill. Her finisher being banned in their last encounter was all that ensured Cargill was able to sneak away with her reign intact.
Tonight, Valkyrie has a chance to tune up her skills ahead of that match, as she meets Lady Frost in singles action. Frost is someone who is hungry for big chances in professional wrestling, and a shock win tonight could be huge for her.
Taya Valkyrie Gets Momentum Ahead Of TBS Championship Match
Frost would show her skills taking Valkyrie down with a flying headscissor, before being driven into the corner. A sliding lariat would drop Frost, allowing for a two count.
Frost would dodge a spear into the corner, sending Valkyrie shoulder first into the corner. Valkyrie would see a front handspring coming from Frost, before pushing forward with a lariat.
Jade would come to the stage, getting a close look at her challenger – trying to see any sign of damage. A brawl on the floor would benefit Valkyrie, who hit a stiff chop to the chest.
Frost came back with a chop of her own, before some big kicks in the ring. Valkyrie would rest in the corner before a handspring cannonball senton landed.
Frost went to the top rope and came down with a spinning crossbody, with Valkyrie rolling through. A stiff spear would land, with Valkyrie setting up a Super Dragon style Curb Stomp. Frost would try for a flying headscissor, only to be hit with a backbreaker before Road To Valhalla for the Valkyrie victory.
Tony Khan Announces AEW Collision Debuts In Chicago – CM Punk Chants Follow
We are just under a month away from the debut episode of AEW Saturday Night Collision. Tony Khan has previously revealed most the dates for the first month and a half of the show, with a lot of dates in Canada along the way. However, the debut episode is yet to have a home. Tonight, Khan intends to reveal this information, which could give more clues on what to expect on June 17th.
Khan would run down the announced cities before announcing that on June 17th they’re heading to Chicago and the United Center. Instantly, the fans would break out into a CM Punk chant – and it’s a poorly kept secret that he is expected to return on that night. Punk has been off TV for nearly a year now, having suffered a torn tricep – but is ready to go once again.
Adam Cole Brings In Extreme Backup Ahead Of Double Or Nothing
Issues between Chris Jericho & Adam Cole have spiralled out of control. Everything started when Cole celebrated his return victory over Daniel Garcia a bit too long for Jericho’s liking. Calling Cole an egomaniac would cause an in-ring confrontation, allowing Jericho to ambush Cole and his partner Britt Baker.
Cole got some revenge as he helped Roderick Strong defeat Jericho in a Falls Count Anywhere match, and tonight – the contract for Cole vs. Jericho in an unsanctioned match at AEW Double or Nothing is signed.
Tony Schiavone would remind both men that this contract simply makes the match official. AEW takes no responsibility with what happens after the bell – and Cole would quickly sign the contract.
Cole would call Jericho a disgusting human being, but that’s not why he lead traffic during an attack on Britt Baker. Jericho views himself as being invincible, and Cole is ready to test that. Jericho’s blood will be on Cole’s hands and not AEW’s – which is just how he likes it.
Cole would watch as Jericho refused to sign the contract – first showing a clip of Baker being beaten as Cole “did nothing to help her”, with the video hiding the handcuffs.
Jericho would threaten to knock his teeth down his throat at Double or Nothing, before putting pen to paper – and reminded Cole that it’s the J.A.S against Cole & Strong essentially.
Cole knew this was coming, and called upon someone who is crazier than all the J.A.S combined. He’s homicidal, genocidal, suicidal – he’s the ECW legend Sabu. That is strong backup to have, and Sabu will be in his corner. He was already throwing chairs – and that will be legal at Double Or Nothing.
