We’re just a few short weeks away from the debut of the newest show from All Elite Wrestling. AEW Saturday Night Collision is a weekly live show, much like their flagship show AEW Dynamite.
Unlike AEW Rampage, this show is set to be equal in importance to Dynamite – and potentially will have it’s own touring roster. One name who is set to be involved with the show is Bryan Danielson – as he’s set to be one of the names on the shows creative department alongside Tony Khan.
Bryan Danielson Is Happy To Work With Tony Khan On Ideas For AEW’s New Show
During the Double Or Nothing post-show media scrum, Bryan Danielson would have a chance to comment on his backstage role in AEW – and how he loves talking wrestling ideas with Tony Khan.
“I love working with Tony and I love working in AEW. It’s a lot of fun because, sometimes, before I even got here, Tony and I would talk on the phone sometimes for an hour and a half to two hours and we’d just be talking about things and wrestling and that sort of thing. I think we have similar ideas on wrestling, and sometimes he says things to me and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, that’s a great idea,’ and we riff off each other really well. When we do it, it doesn’t feel like work. When you love wrestling, stuff like that is fun.”
One of the key feuds that is set to kick off AEW Collision is CM Punk vs. Samoa Joe. This is a feud with roots in Ring of Honor, the same promotion Danielson called home. Combine this with the love Khan has for the history of Ring of Honor? We could be in for something very special indeed.
During Double Or Nothing 2023, Danielson was involved in the main event match – teaming with Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta to defeat The Elite in Anarchy In The Arena. You can read a full breakdown of that match here.
