Orange Cassidy is the most dominant champion in the history of AEW – and tonight, will look to remain the AEW International Champion. Cassidy has defeated many opponents, but none know him quite as well as Wheeler Yuta.

Originally brought into AEW as part of the Best Friends faction and being trained by Cassidy, Yuta took a different path when he joined the Blackpool Combat Club.

However, most of his major victories have come with the Seatbelt Pinfall, which was taught to him by Chuck Taylor. Tonight, Yuta looks to use that hold to win his first AEW Championship – and use his knowledge of Cassidy to get to that moment.

Orange Cassidy Has Burned The Candle At Both Ends Since Becoming Champion

Cassidy would go right for the Orange Punch, trying to end this early – with Yuta avoiding this and hitting some deep Arm Drags.

An exchange of forearms in the ring would follow, causing a double down. Yuta would send Cassidy to the floor before a suicide dive sent Cassidy rolling.

A suplex on the floor would be blocked, with Cassidy able to counter and hit one himself – hurting his neck in the process.

Yuta would hit a Piledriver on the ramp, targeting the neck before kicking Cassidy and having him roll towards the ring. Cassidy used this time to recover, and hit the Beach Break in the ring for a near fall – a desperate move that didn’t pay off.

The hard fights throughout this reign has Cassidy extremely hurt, and Yuta knows this. He would try to force the pinfall, but didn’t get past a two count.

A stiff chop would follow as Cassidy found his feet, before Yuta would target the knee with a Deathlock applied. Cassidy was able to break free, before having his hand stomped into the mat.

Yuta would be shoved into the ropes, and the attempt at the rebound was met with a dropkick. Cassidy would try to follow up with a crossbody, but was taken down with a Superplex before a diving splash for a near fall. Yuta tried to stomp the head of Cassidy in, but was blocked as Cassidy set up the Michinoku Driver and a PK.

Satellite DDT would follow, before Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli would come to ringside. Teasing an Orange Punch, Cassidy had Yuta flinch before hitting the Paradigm Shift DDT while locking eyes with Moxley.

Orange Punch would land, but Cassidy was unable to follow up due to the damage to the hand over the reign. Seatbelt Pinfall was applied by Yuta, getting a two count before Cassidy got a tight roll up for the win. After the bell, Moxley & Castagnoli would attack Cassidy – before Best Friends would make the save.

Briefly, Chuck & Trent would gain an advantage before Moxley & Castagnoli took control – Chuck & Trent still beat up after the recent Parking Lot Brawl.

Lucha Bros made the save next, evening the odds. Eddie Kingston would join the mix – and announced a match for All In. Eddie Kingston, Lucha Bros & Best Friends vs. Blackpool Combat Club (and whoever they can get on their side) in STADIUM STAMPEDE III.

Kenny Omega Gets Beaten Down – But He’s Far From Done

We’re just under two weeks out from the biggest show in AEW history, All In. Taking place in Wembley Stadium, AEW has already moved over 70,000 tickets for this show and the card is taking shape.

However, Kenny Omega is currently without a match for this show – and tonight will sit down with the legendary Jim Ross and give some insight into his plans for London.

Ross would speak about Omega’s past with Don Callis, speaking about how Callis was always there as a kid, helping him through his young careers in sports.

Omega is the athlete he is today because of Don Callis, and doesn’t want to feel bitter about him. He doesn’t want his career to be about revenge – even though Callis has replaced Omega with Konosuke Takeshita.

Takeshita is a man who has been protege of Omega, and Omega intends to take him away from Callis. Suddenly, Don Callis would appear – and with the aid of Bullet Club Gold would beat Omega down.

Takeshita was there to bash him with a 2×4 – before Callis talked some trash. Hangman Page would accompany Omega to the hospital, and said that Omega isn’t finished – and has two of his greatest tag team partners ready to go.

It will be Kenny Omega, Hangman Page & Kota Ibushi vs. Konosuke Takeshita, Jay White & Juice Robinson at All In.
