Since joining the WWE roster in 2022, Logan Paul has proven his skills. Having been in major matches against Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins, and recently claimed a big win over Ricochet at Summerslam 2023. Paul is a natural athlete, having come to WWE with a background in boxing – but feels that WWE is harder to perfect than boxing.
WWE Is Like Broadway On Steroids
During an interview with Stephen A. Smith, Logan Paul would detail the issues he’s found with WWE – noting how many moving parts he needs to worry about. While in boxing, it was a simple focus on himself and his opponent, everything in WWE is effect at every moment. Paul had the following to say.
“With wrestling, when I first started I couldn’t believe how 360 degrees this business was. There are so many things to account for and the analogy I use is when I’m boxing, I’m worried about one person, the guy across from me right?
It’s like Broadway on steroids, like everyone in the WWE is so athletic and so talented in a different way that I never would have expected and I find the mental part of WWE way more taxing than boxing.”
Logan Paul Has Wanted To Win Gold In WWE
Paul had signed a new WWE contract earlier this year, ensuring he sticks around as a part time talent. His recent victory over Ricochet was left open ended – with Paul cheating to defeat the former WWE Intercontinental Champion, leaving things open for a rematch.
Ricochet has been Paul’s key 2023 rival, with massive moments in the Royal Rumble and Money In The Bank matches setting up a singles encounter.
In addition to this, Paul is looking at eventually being a champion in WWE. Without the WWE 24/7 title in play anymore, if WWE wants to put a belt on Paul – it needs to be one with some level of legacy.
It’s unlikely he wins the WWE Universal or World Heavyweight Championship, but the Intercontinental or United States Championships are more open to someone like Paul.
