A man, by the name of Morgan Mank, has reportedly been arrested after he had crashed his car into Taylor Swift’s New York City apartment.
Drunken Man Arrested After He Crashed Into Taylor Swift’s Apartment
According to reports, the man was intoxicated when the incident occurred. It was clearly visible that something was not right when he had apparently driven on the wrong side of the road.
In addition, it is alleged that he was trying to gain entry into the apartment. So much so that he had apparently refused to leave, unless he was given an opportunity to meet with the singer.
Subsequently, the authorities arrived in order to get to the bottom of this. He was then taken to hospital, so that the doctors could give him the once over after which he was arrested.
Luckily, for everyone involved, there were no fatalities involved in this incident. And yet, this was still disturbing for Taylor by virtue of the following reasons. First of all, this is not the first time that she has become a victim of some overzealous fans.
She had also reportedly suffered from stalkers at her house that was based in Tribeca, which was the last thing that she needed, especially since celebrities often find it very hard to get some downtime.
Secondly, unless there are some major reforms in the law which results in severe punishments being inflicted upon those who endanger the lives of high-profile people, there is a feeling that such incidents could occur again.
The response on social media was one of concern. A certain subset of people felt that it was probably a good decision if Taylor decided to leave the area now that it has transpired where some of her apartments are located.
Failure to do so may simply encourage others to do the same now that they know Taylor is in possession of those apartments. One person wrote: “She needs to move ASAP!”
Taylor has yet to comment on this incident, which is understandable given that she does not want to draw any more publicity to it. But one thing for sure is that it is probably wise that she puts some extra security measures in place nonetheless.
