LA Knight has some big issues right now in NXT, namely in the form of Grayson Waller and his new bodyguard. However, he’s still ready to fight anyone who pisses him off – and now that includes Joe Gacy. Despite preaching peace, Gacy only got a response of anger from Knight earlier in the day – and now will meet one on one in the ring.
Grayson Waller Screws LA Knight
Getting distracted by the size of Harland, Knight took his eyes off of Gacy as this match started, Gacy swung and missed, before taking a running neckbreaker. Knight nailed some kicks in the corner, before being slammed down with a spinning uranage. A belly to back suplex would follow, and Gacy was settling into this match.
Knight took some heavy knees on the ropes, but he’d be able to fight back into this match with ease. BFT was countered, and Knight was sent out of the ring. Waller would hit a rolling stunner out of nowhere. Knight barely broke the ten count and ws nailed with a lariat. This is the biggest win of Gacy’s run in NXT – tainted or not.
Knight would try to fight Waller after the match – but the Saruv would back up Waller just laid him out with a chokeslam. If he can beat Saurav next week, he will finally get a crack at Waller – which is a big challenge even for someone like Knight.
Wendy Choo Hits The Snooze Button On Amai Miller
Earlier in the night, Amari Miller was given a chance to earn a shopping trip with Tiffany Straton – but only if she can defeat Wendy Choo. Choo has been snoozing around NXT for weeks now, and seems to only wake up for matches – and Straton hates this. However, the skills of Choo speak for themselves.
Miller would go for a lariat, and Choo would slip out of the way and rest up. Choo grabbed a kneebar, but lazed on stretching out. Miller got too loud, and now Choo was truly awake and nailing some heavy kicks. She’d hit a unique elbow drop, and got a two count for her efforts. Miller tripped Choo up before taking a set of suplexes.
The Sleeper Hold was applied, but Miller broke out and hit a Codebreaker for a near fall. Straton came to ringside and slide a credit card to Miller, but this distraction led to a roll up for a two count before a running cross chop ended the match with Choo on top – and she even stole the credit card.
