At the 2022 Royal Rumble, Ronda Rousey made her WWE return – and got a title shot for Wrestlemania in the process. This drove some fans to complain that Ronda was coming in and taking the spots of hard working ladies, as Ronda had not been in a WWE ring for nearly two years. However, Liv Morgan looks at the situation a bit differently.
Liv Morgan Feels If You Were Good Enough, Even Someone Like Ronda Rousey Can’t Take Your Spot Away
While speaking with Louis Dangoor of GiveMeSport, just ahead of the Royal Rumble – Morgan spoke on the chance of Ronda coming back to WWE. She worked with Ronda on live events during the first time Ronda worked with the company, generally in six woman tag team matches.
She knows how good she is, and therefore how good you need to be to not have Ronda take your spot on the roster. When asked about the criticisms that Ronda takes a spot away from full-time performers, Morgan had the following to say.
“I totally understand that, but the competitor in me is like ‘be so good that you’re undeniable. She’s a huge name and a great performer, she’s great at everything she does. I understand that it might take away a spot from someone else, but also part of me is like ‘well, if you were that good and the spot is yours, it’d be yours’, you know? I welcome Ronda. I love Ronda, so I’d love for her to come back and I’d love to meet her baby girl.”
Morgan Is Already Having Her Best Year To Date
When it came to the Royal Rumble, Liv Morgan had her best showing yet. She entered at the #6 spot, and lasted over 37 minutes in the match. Morgan has been on the rise in 2022, and is marked as a favorite to win the female Money in The Bank ladder match later this year by many fans.
There’s a chance this could put her on the path to facing Rousey in a big time singles match, where the previous encounters will help to make something special for fans. Morgan has truly put in the work, and is becoming so good that someday soon – she will be undeniable.
