Rapper Snoop Dogg has reportedly been sued for sexual assault that had allegedly occurred more than a decade ago. Will the rapper still be allowed to perform on the Super Bowl Halftime show?
Rapper Snoop Dogg Has Reportedly Been Sued For Sexual Assault
According to reports, Snoop is facing a lawsuit alongside his colleague Bishop Don Juan. The victim claims that she had been offered a ride to Snoop Dogg’s shows in California by Don.
Thereafter, it is suggested that she had fallen asleep in his car and then woke up the next day only to realise that she had arrived at Don’s house.
And that is when things started to take a turn for the worse. The allegations stress that when she woke up at Don’s house, the latter had decided to forcibly engaged in oral sex on her.
Once that had actually happened, Don had apparently told the woman to get ready to go see Snoop Dogg in the studio. But once again, when she arrived, the lawsuit claims that the same thing happened as Snoop Dogg decided to also try and have oral sex with her.
As a result, the plaintiff is looking to claim damages somewhere in the region of $10 million. Naturally, that has left Snoop Dogg feeling outraged by virtue of the fact that he denies doing anything of the sort.
And he responded in kind by suggesting that the allegations were nothing but lies, as well as branding her a ‘Gold digger.’ This is the last thing that Snoop Dogg will want to happen, especially since he has just been confirmed to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime show.
Such a career highlight as appearing on the Super Bowl Halfime show has been damaged, given that the rapper had expressed how delighted he was to be able to be given such an opportunity.
In a statement, he had said: “I’m still thinking I’m in a dream because I can’t believe that they will let a real hip-hop artist grace the stage in an NFL Super Bowl.
“We’re just going to wait for that moment and put something together that’s spectacular, and do what we’re known for doing and add on to the legacy.”
The only thing left to do is let the authorities rule on the matter and come to a conclusion. Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
