Blake Moynes has been looking back on his relationship with former Bachelorette’ lead Katie Thurston.
Blake Moynes Admits That He Has Not Responded To His Ex Katie Thurston’s Request To Reach Out
Blake had ultimately walked away with Katie on the show, and they took things to the next level immediately, as they announced their engagement. But after just 3 months, they decided to call things off which was a shock to say the least.
While Blake had been processing what went on, Katie did the opposite as she moved on very quickly. So much so that she ended up hooking up with none other than John Hersey.
But now that a significant amount of time has passed, Blake has managed to get to grips with what he has been through.
In an interview on the “Almost Famous” podcast, Blake said: “I say, ‘I’m good,’ only because it’s been time. Time heals a lot of things and time just allows you to kind of reflect and just move past the mayhem that’s happened.”
One of the things that had gotten on Blake’s nerves was the fact that speculation started to emerge that Katie may have been cheating on him prior to her getting with John.
This speculation was fuelled by virtue of the fact that it was only a month after their breakup that she had decided to date John.
Although Katie and John denied doing anything of the sort, the very fact of the matter is that this did have a significant impact on Blake’s thinking.
That is why he admitted that he has not spoken to Katie recently, despite her actually reaching out. He added: “All the other stuff happened. Since then, we have not spoke.
“But she has reached out to me. I just have not been [in] the place yet to respond to it. Especially the time that it all kind of was unraveling, I didn’t want to respond in a place of emotion.”
It is clear that Katie has moved on, and perhaps Blake should do the same. If that means responding to Katie and finally getting some closure, then so be it. Time will tell where things go from here.
