Just when things in the WWE couldn’t seem to get any stranger, they’re catching some flack from fans over their promotion that if/when Roman Reigns defeats Bill Goldberg at Elimination Chamber he’d have beaten all the former Universal Champions.
It’s nothing new for the WWE to point these things out and leave out the asterisks for various reasons, including they like to rewrite their own history.
But what brought this to everyone’s attention was that former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) publicly refused to be acknowledged in Reigns’ list of accomplishments.

He wasn’t pinned
Windham commented on Louis Dangoor’s Twitter post with “Take my name off that sh—”
Even Seth Rollins threw his hat into the ring and called it “Fake News.” Though is Rollins’ case that’s most likely in character and both their responses could be in good humor.
But as fans have pointed out, Reigns didn’t pin The Fiend in WWE’s efforts to make him look strong despite undercutting yet another of Windham’s title reigns.
And Rollins didn’t lose to him at Royal Rumble, but because Reigns retained, the logic stands according to Dangoor.

Entertaining propaganda
We have to admit, even is Windham is dead serious, and we don’t blame him if he is, this is an entertaining exchange as we never get tired of fans going back and forth.
It’s always fun when fans can entertain ourselves by pointing out those details and then go back and forth about why we’re right or wrong. It’s arguably the best part about sports and entertainment in general.
But it also highlights the main problem fans have with the WWE, and that’s a lack of consistency. We’re often treated along the lines of “we don’t know what we want, so they’ll tell us.”
But when they don’t seem to know what’s happening week to week and constantly pick and choose what part of their history they’ll acknowledge or tweak it’s hard to get immersed in it.

Still, it’s hard to argue with Reigns’ track record as of late. He’s needed help in at least half of his matches to get the win, and when he’s in danger of losing he gets disqualified and that’s treated as a win or successful title defense.
Assuming Reigns defeats Goldberg, and we’re sure he will, this will be another “historic” record the WWE will blast across social media to continue pushing their Tribal Chief to new heights and into the WWE record books.
Maybe it’s time the WWE adopt some asterisks in their historical notes as well as being honest?
