Royal commentator, Angela Levin has claimed that Queen Elizabeth is no more a force to be reckoned with in the country. The royal expert suggests that the monarch is currently passing through a “very difficult moment in her life” as she attempts to pace herself ahead of a frantic lineup of activities leading up to her Platinum Jubilee.
The Queen Is Too Weak To Perform Her Royal Duties
In a recent news interview, Ms. Levin said “We’ll see how she is when it comes to the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial service towards the end of the month because I can’t imagine her not wanting to come to it. But it will be very difficult to come in that way because she no longer looks like a power for the country. Very hard for her, very difficult moment in her life.”
Queen Elizabeth II Is No Longer A Power For The Country, Says Royal Expert,
However, the royal expert claimed that the Queen is pushing hard to put recent woes behind her and prove that she is still capable of performing her tasks. She said, “She still wants to prove she is the monarch and if she doesn’t turn up at these places, it will be increasingly difficult for her.”
For the first time since 2013, the Queen missed the Commonwealth Service, with her son, Prince Charles standing in for her. The service was supposed to be her first main public event after she marked her 70th anniversary on the throne in February.
The monarch is believed by several royal experts to have skipped the commonwealth service as a preventive measure against any new illness, as against talks of a fresh health challenge. With her 96th birthday around the corner, the Queen has reportedly been pacing herself to keep herself in the best shape ahead of her birthday and platinum celebrations.
The 2022 Commonwealth Day is the first time a Commonwealth service was held in the last two years after last years’ service was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. It also marked exactly two years since Harry and Meghan Markle performed their last royal engagement.
