Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were banned from sitting beside one another at Pippa Middleton’s wedding because of a strange policy put up by the bride. Pippa Middleton tied the knot with James Matthew at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield on 20th May 2017.
The glamorous wedding had several royals in attendance like Kate, who was the matron of honor for the day, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who took on the roles of pageboy and flower girl respectively. Prince William, Prince Harry, and Princess Eugenie were also present as well in addition to a class of celebrity attendees.

After the service, the 300 guests went to Bucklebury Village Hall, where they parked their cars before driving to the nightfall after the party. Every attendee had a secret code to enter the venue and handed out their photo ID for scrutiny before they could enter the Middleton’s estate in Berkshire.

Once inside, they were received by a giant glass porch that had been adorned in a captivated forest theme. The guests played several kinds of games and saw a light film before being asked to sit down to eat. However, due to a stern seating arrangement, spouses could not sit next to one another because to inspire socializing among her visitors, Pippa Middleton who was the bride of the day had demanded that no spouses sit next to one another.
And, despite covering a long distance to get to the wedding, Meghan, who just started courting Prince Harry a year before was not exempted from the bride’s request.
It was later revealed that the former actress was not invited to the party in the first place but showed up at the wedding after her then-boyfriend, Harry had driven from Berkshire to London to pick her up.
When Pippa and James got married in 2017, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were only in the initial phases of their relationship. However, they were still subjects of public opinions as many royal supporters were anxious to see them together.
