Ladies and gentlemen it is now 2020, New Year’s Day! But more importantly it’s Wednesday, which means WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite tonight! Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here, to give you the previews for everything All Elite as usual~! It’s a special night of course, AEW Homecoming, and they’ve perhaps stacked tonight’s card more than ever before for the occasion! There’s plenty to talk about, so let’s dive into the previews!
Jon Moxley will respond to Chris Jericho’s offer to join the Inner Circle.
Mox has of course been on quite the run of late and with his momentum building, he has set his sights on going after AEW World Champion Chris Jericho. But in a rather unexpected twist in their ongoing storyline, Jericho has offered his would-be challenger a spot in his stable. It was the old classic speech, that if the hero and the big bad joined forces they’d be unstoppable together.
Now of course, I don’t think there’s a single person out there that seriously expects Moxley to say yes to something like this. But Jericho being who he is, it’s easy to be excited to see what exactly he plans to offer Moxley to get him to accept. He’s teased having something big on this night to sweeten the deal. The last big Jericho segment saw giant inflatable mascots, an orchestral band, the christening of Chris Jerigoat and guest appearances from Soultrain Jones and Ted Irvine among other things. So if he’s intending on rolling out the red carpet, I’m sure he’s got quite a bit cooked up.
Then again, he did hold that celebration for himself… it’d be within his nature to hand Moxley a gift basket and expect that to be enough. So we’ll see. Either way, Moxley’s response and likely violent assault will be one to watch!
