Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally put their Royal family feud behind them by visiting Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Make A Historic Return To The UK And Visit The Queen-‘Well Done’
The move was historic in more ways than one. It had been 2 years since the couple had visited the Royal family after having exited in 2020. In between that time, so much was said by the pair which had threatened to damage relations forever.
But the road to repairing the relationship has already started, as sources stressed they had visited the Queen and Charles shortly before the monarch’s upcoming 96th birthday.
A source told TMZ the following: “Meghan and Harry flew from L.A. to London Tuesday night, first class on a commercial flight … with security shadowing at all times.
“They’ve had a meeting with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles in what’s clearly an attempt to smooth things over.” Despite that huge step, it is also important to bear in mind the following factors.
First of all, the couple did not necessarily go out of their way to see them. They were already in Europe as part of their intention to go to the Invictus Games. Secondly, the couple had arrived without their children.
Therefore, Queen Elizabeth was still deprived of the opportunity to seal Lilibet in person for the first time. Lastly, there is nothing to suggest that they had visited Prince William and Kate Middleton.
As such, unless there are reports to the contrary, it would indicate that Harry and William have not managed to get over their feud. The response on social media towards their visit was mixed.
A certain subset of people were glad to see the pair putting behind their differences and coming together. Meanwhile, others viewed this as a cheap attempt to drum up some publicity.
One person wrote: “Well done Meghan and Harry, ignore the haters, there’re lots of people in the U.K. whom love you and dislike the way the media go after you.”
This could be the start of a full royal continuation. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
