With Wheeler Yuta in the ranks of Blackpool Combat Club following his bloody brawl with Jon Moxley, it’s time for this faction to make their trio’s debut. Tonight, they will face an undefeated trio with The Gunn Club. Billy, Austin, and Colton Gunn have been unstoppable with a 24-0 trios record, but have never met a trio like Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, and Wheeler Yuta.
Blackpool Combat Club Came To Fight
Yuta would start this one off hot with Austin, before taking a punch to the jaw. Austin would go for the flipping neckbreaker, and caught Austin into an armbar. Colton would get the tag, and would go for a dropkick and was caught into a leg lock. Yuta had never looked better in an AEW ring, showing tons of confidence.
Danielson would get the tag and applied the Romero Special on Colton, before attacking the nose. Billy would make the tag, before being nailed with some dropkicks in the corner – before exploding back out with a back elbow. Gunn Club finally had an opening, and they’d take full advantage. You don’t get a 24-0 record without learning how to cut the ring in half.
Wheeler Yuta Defeats The Legendary Billy Gunn
Danielson would try to break free, but took a dropkick. Austin went into the corner face first, and Danielson made the tag to Moxley. Colton Gunn would be ran down with a lariat before the drop step into the Half & Half Suplex. Austin took a heavy back elbow, before Colton was dropped with a superplex.
Billy tagged in and was dropped with the King Kong Lariat – before coming off the top rope with a huge crossbody. Danielson & Moxley would drop Austin & Colton, before Billy hit a double lariat. Yuta was outgunned by Billy and would be slammed hard into the mat with the One & Only. Billy would set up the Fame Asser, but was blocked into a perfect O’Conner Roll for the finish!
The crowd absolutely loved Wheeler Yuta in this match, getting better reactions than both Danielson & Moxley. Joining Blackpool Combat Club has really changed his careers trajectory, and this was the biggest win of his AEW career, making him the man to break the trios streak of Gunn Club.
