This has been a long time coming ever since the couple decided to get engaged in the aftermath of Britney’s conservatorship victory.
In addition, Britney’s recent announcement that she was pregnant also made it more likely that a wedding was on the cards. With that being said, Sam put the fans out of their misery by announcing the big news.
In a post to his fans on Instagram, he said: “Happy Mother’s Day to you my soon to be queen. Also The big day has been set! But nobody will know until the day after.”
Aside from the happiness that they are experiencing, Sam’s comments are also significant for the following reasons. First of all, the fact that the wedding will take place and then be announced the day after suggests that the couple are looking to keep things low-key.
This is entirely understandable, given the media scrutiny that has followed the couple of late. Secondly, there is also the implication that the people in attendance at the wedding is going to be very small.
As such, there is the obvious question of whether or not Britney will invite the members of her family. Regardless of who turns up, the most important thing is that the couple have a ceremony that they will remember.
And yet, the response on social media was mixed. A certain subset of people were delighted to see Britney happy and wished the couple the best for the big day.
Meanwhile, others were of the view that Britney should be looking to protect herself in case Sam decides to leave her and walk away with a part of her assets.
