It was time to burn everything down for Kay Lee Ray, and start fresh. Under the new moniker of Alba Fyre – NXT 2.0 fans will get a second chance at a first impression from the former NXT UK Women’s Champion. Fyre has burnt away her previous persona, and looks to succeed in NXT now as she makes her way to the ring once again.
Alba Fyre Shows She Is Still As Great As Ever Before
Amari Miller was the opponent tonight, and is making her return after an injured suffered at the hands of Lash Legend. Fyre had an impressive new entrance and theme song, but did not come to the ring with a flaming baseball bat. She’d quickly get a one count off a pinfall attempt, before Miller applied a headlock.
Fyre would break free and go for some heavy strikes, before Miller would use the ropes for a big arm drag. Drop step would see her move behind Fyre, and hit a neckbreaker. Fyre would be able to nail a big DDT out of the corner before a superkick to the jaw. Miller fought back with some forearm smashes – but nearly was caught with the Gory Bomb.
Fyre was dropped with a PK, but Miller would only get a two count. The newly named Fyre Bomb would land, before a Swanton Bomb got Alba Fyre the win. This is a great start to a second chance for her in NXT 2.0 – and Amari Miller also came out here looking like a star.
Solo Sikoa Wants Another Shot At Cameron Grimes
Solo Sikoa had a second chance to become NXT North American Champion last week, and arguably stole the show in the triple threat match. After locking Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams out of the arena, he’d make his way down to the ring. Loud chants of Solo would ring out, as he said that this time was originally set for ‘Melo & Trick – but it’s his time now.
He was the dominant force in last week’s title match, and despite not getting the win. Sikoa wants another chance to claim that gold, but Grimes would set the record straight. At In Your House – Hayes gets a one on one shot. However Grimes would say that Sikoa is next in line after that night.
Trick & Melo found their way to the ring, and would work together to beat down Grimes, with Sikoa deciding to do the right thing and save Grimes. This title picture has been focused on these three for a while, but they’re truly shining.
Will Carmelo Hayes claim the NXT North American Championship at In Your House? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
