Back at Wrestling Dontaku, Chase Owens & Bad Luck Fale were able to use the Tongan Tornado Three Way rules to take the IWGP Tag Team Championships away from Jeff Cobb & Great-O-Khan, without defeating them. Now, Owens must pay the price – as he faces Great-O-Khan in singles action.
Chase Owens Steals A Win
O-Khan had the fan support as this match started, and was able to force Owens down to the mat. Owens would get up and taunt, before driving O-Khan down to the mat with strikes. He’d get a recipt, as O-Khan tried to make Owens kiss his boot.
This would fail, before O-Khan forced Owens into the corner and sat on him like a throne. O-Khan would nail a pump kick in the middle of the ring, before Owens used the top rope for an advantage. Owens would yank the braid of O-Khan, and used it to send his opponent to the mat for a knee drop.
O-Khan would block a diving mongolian chop, before a swift snap suplex was followed by some heavy chops. Owens would be able to get him cornered, but would almost get trapped with the Iron Claw. O-Khan was unable to hit the Dominator.
Owens nailed the C-Trigger and Jewel Heist, before being able to avoid the Dominator once again. He’d roll up O-Khan, and a handful of tights as well as feet on the ropes would be enough to get him the win.
TMDK Are Back At Full Power
Back at Windy City Riot, The United Empire shut down even the best BULLET CLUB had to offer. However tonight, they face a faction newly reformed, in The Mighty Don’t Kneel. Shane Haste, JONAH & Bad Dude Tito have already been waving the TMDK, but adding Mikey Nicholls into the mix could well make them the hardest faction to stop in NJPW today.
This one kicked off with a big brawl, with Jonah dealing with Cobb – and allowing Henare to get isolated. Haste & Nicholls would get yanked from the ring by the Aussie Open, and Tito would be left to deal with Henare. A springboard kick put him down, before Aussie Open got him up for a huge slam – and Cobb would nail a standing moonsault.
Tito was isolated by the United Empire, but Henare was held in place by Haste for long enough for Tito to get an opening. Jonah got the tag, and this was enough to get the match in control of TMDK. Nicholls would nail a scoop slam, before Tito nailed an exploder suplex. Henare was deeply isolated, but kept trying to break free. Haste would hit some nonchalant kicks, and Henare would show him how it’s done.
Aussie Open Get Dropped By The Returning Tag Team
Mark Davis would get the tag and showed his speed and power, before working with David to hit a combination cutter for a near fall. Shane Haste was able to block the offence of Aussie Open, before the core team of TMDK nailed an elevated DDT for a near fall.
JONAH & Cobb would meet up in the ring, and the fans were hyped to see them clash. They’d trade blows, with JONAH almost getting the slam before Cobb slipped away – only to be cut down with a spear. All eight men got into the ring, and would kick off a big brawl. TMDK would cut Davis down, before Thunder Valley would get the victory. Following the match, Bad Dude Tito would officially be accepted into TMDK as a permeant member of the stable.
