Prince George got a very impressive present from his granddad, Prince Charles, when he marked his first birthday seven years ago. The future King received a quite expensive gift worth about $18,000 from the Prince of Wales back then. It is understood that the present was an extravagant wendy house. The wendy house is installed at the Prince of Wales’ residence in Highgrove.
Due to the high cost of the present, no one was surprised that Prince George’s wendy house is quite remarkable compared to other wendy houses. The house is furnished with a stove and a small bed and is big enough to perfectly fit the young prince and his siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, at the same time. The Wendy house, which is a shepherd hut, can be seen by people entering the gardens at the Prince of Wales’ Gloucestershire estate.
Prince George Received An Expensive Gift From His Proud Grandfather, Prince Charles On His First Birthday
The playhouse was built by Plankbridge and gifted to George as a show of gratitude to Prince Charles for the constant support they have enjoyed from him. The Cambridge kids reportedly go there occasionally to play. According to palace sources, Prince Charles’ decision to gift George an expensive gift did not shock anyone back then. Most palace insiders claim that the heir apparent has a tender heart for his children and his grandchildren as well.
It was previously reported in the media that the soft spot he has for the Sussexes will make him allow them to function as part-time royals. However, that decision can only be made by Prince Charles when he finally succeeds Queen Elizabeth on the throne.
For now, the royal family is bracing up for the platinum jubilee festivities scheduled to be held from June 2nd to June 5th, 2022. After more than two years away from Britain, the Sussexes have confirmed that they will return for the celebrations. This will allow Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis to reconnect with their cousins, Prince Archie and, for the first time, Princess Lilibet. It will be the first time Princess Lilibet will get to meet her great grandmother, the Queen, and other royals.
