Johnny Depp has received the staunch support of a women’s abuse NGO amid accusations that he had abused his ex-wife Amber Heard.
Women’s Abuse NGO Backs Johnny Depp Over Amber Heard-‘We Have The Duty’
‘The Pirates of the Caribbean’ star has been embroiled in a legal battle with Amber that has damaged both their reputations. And as part of that process, both sides have been accused of being violent.
Johnny, for his part, was alleged to have stuck his fingers in Amber’s Vagina in order to look for cocaine.
Meanwhile, Amber did not cover herself in glory when a tape recording of her was played saying: “Tell the world, Johnny, tell them ‘I, Johnny Depp, a man, I’m a victim, too, of domestic violence… and it’s a fair fight.
“And see how many people believe or side with you.” That damning admission has clouded Amber throughout the trial, and this has not been made any easier after Mission NGO decided to put their support behind Depp.
The organisation is known for providing support to women and children against violence. Clearly, the public opinion in favour of Johnny has now transpired into other organisations.
Valeria Altobelli, who happens to be the President of the organisation, had this to say: “We have the duty and the responsibility to educate our sons and daughters … without any gender distinction, in order to prevent violence.
“[It is with] deep respect for the victims of domestic abuses that we have to affirm … our compassion for Johnny Depp in this bad page of his personal history.”
These comments are very telling for the following reasons. First of all, the organisation could have chosen to stay diplomatic and issue a general statement by condemning violence in general.
Secondly, by siding with Johnny, the chances of Amber bouncing back from a potential loss in court will be even more difficult. This is a huge victory for Depp, but the question is can he back it up with a victory in court?
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruuNZSkYf-w
