Titán was the first man eliminated from the tournament, but tonight will still be in action as he meets BUSHI. BUSHI is looking to remain in the tournament, and facing a frustrated Titán is not a good situation to be in. Titan has been able to defeat BUSHI in a number of tag team meetings over the years, and could be able to bring that same energy tonight.
Titán Proves He’s More Dangerous Than Ever Being Eliminated
With nothing to lose at this point, it can be argued that Titán is more dangerous than ever. BUSHI clearly thought so, attacking him from being and choking him with his own Mexican Flag. On the floor, BUSHI would go after the mat of Titán, before chucking him back in the ring. Like a boomerang, Titán came flying back – wiping BUSHI out.
Back into the ring, BUSHI would continue to go after the mask of Titán – not pulling it off, instead just forcing Titán to take the time to fix his mask and allow for more damage. The loose mask is what cost Titán his match against El Phantasmo, a match which BUSHI clearly watched.
Titán would manage to hit a gamiguri and the springboard dropkick however, before hitting a dive right over the top rope. BUSHI would take a shoulder breaker in the ring, before spiking Titán on his head with a DDT. Lungblower was blocked into a slam, before Titán hit the short tornado DDT.
Titán nailed the springboard double stomp, and got the win – which while eliminated, might have ruined the chances of BUSHI. He is also looking to prove he is more than capable of winning matches, as going back to CMLL with a 1-8 record would have been a complete embarrassment.
Ryusuke Taguchi Uses His Ultimate Weapon
Ryusuke Taguchi is someone who has historically had the number of YOH, only losing a single match via countout over the years. So while Taguchi might be eliminated from the tournament at just two points, but has a chance to wound the confidence of YOH and potentially shut his tournament dreams down with another victory tonight.
Taguchi shot for a single leg as his match began, with YOH blocking and grabbing the arm. YOH would be countered into a pinfall, with Taguchi only getting a one count. Some hip attacks would land, before YOH would miss a lariat, and take a leg drop to the neck. YOH would fight back with an elbow to the neck, quickly followed by a neckbreaker for the two count.
Taguchi would have both arms capture, but used the hip attacks to break free – before catching a kick and hitting the Dragon Screw. The bulldog would follow, before Taguchi would escape a submission and look for the ankle lock. YOH blocked into a kneebar, before looking for the Five Star Clutch.
Taguchi blocked into the Gedo Clutch, getting a near fall. It was hold for hold before Taguchi pulled his tights down for extra effectiveness on his pins, before being made to run the ropes. He’d catch YOH with a hurricanrana, and with a face full of Taguchi’s underwear, this one was over.
With just three matches left in this tournament, can YOH hope to make the finals for the second year in a row? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
