Amber Heard is not going to go away, as she intends on fully appealing her case against ex-husband Johnny Depp.
Amber Heard VOWS To Appeal The Defamation Ruling Against Johnny Depp-‘She Is Determined To Take It All The Way To The Supreme Court’
Amber, for her part, came out second best in the defamation case which resulted in a judgment being handed out which required her to pay Depp close to $10 million.
And given that her attorney Elaine Bredehoft has already confirmed that Heard does not have the means to pay the judgment, the only option that Heard has is to take up an appeal. And that is precisely what she intends on doing.
A source confirmed as much: “She is 100 percent appealing on freedom of speech and is telling friends she is determined to take it all the way to the Supreme Court if she has to.
“She is not able to comprehend that she lost.” Despite those comments, it is important to bear in mind the following factors.
First of all, if Heard cannot afford to pay the current judgment, there is always the possibility that she could incur additional legal expenses on an appeal which may not work out. Secondly, in any event, she has also lost in the court of public opinion.
The consensus on social media was that a significant majority of people were backing Depp at the expense of Heard. And regardless of whether she goes ahead with the appeal, that will not change anytime soon.
It is not surprising, then, that the fans on social media questioned the viability of an appeal. And in the process of doing so, they could not see past the current judgment.
One person wrote: “It was a jury of regular people who ruled in favor of Johnny …because they could see through her act.” If Heard does end up following through with an appeal, then we can expect plenty of fireworks to follow.
And if it generates half as much media attention as it did the first time around, then there will be plenty in store for the fans to keep themselves occupied. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
