In pro wrestling, everyone has their preference, and there is nothing wrong with that but if I had to choose between AEW and NXT, well…
I know that it is hard to take yourself out of the IWC fanboy chair and take off the rose-tinted glasses but hear me out for a bit.
The only thing that AEW has over NXT is star power… which is mostly made up of people who went through NXT…
There is something to be said about a bunch of former NXT stars who are now main eventing the second largest company in the USA but wouldn’t main event the number one company…
This isn’t a knock on the wrestlers. I’m a fan of most of them and they are still pretty alright to watch sometimes.
The biggest issue that I have with watching them now is that they are doing more of the same thing that they were doing before on a much smaller stage…
NXT 2.0 VS AEW: Is WWE’s C Show a “Better Bet” Than All Elite Wrestling?
I know, I know, you still don’t know why I would take NXT over All Elite Wrestling.
The answer is simple. Even though I am a wrestling fan at my very core, I am not willing to lose money on a wrestling company.
For a hot take within a hot take, I wouldn’t be surprised if NXT is more profitable than AEW.
AEW is breaking even by now I hope but the fact is that they overpay any wrestler that comes from WWE that is most likely past their prime.
Those wrestlers were most likely released because they didn’t make the money or bring the value that justified keeping them.
NXT is putting on an equivalent product to AEW for close to pennies compared to what AEW spends.
Also, NXT has a WAY WAY WAY better social network for advertising than AEW. Not only that but there is no way for AEW to reach the same levels.
