The Gunn Club & Max Caster have become an incredibly entertaining duo, but also a deadly one in the ring. They’re three of the best homegrown talents in AEW, and having come together – are now a deadly faction. Tonight, they will take on Bear Country and former NXT North American Champion Leon Ruffin, who are all looking for breakout performances in AEW. Together, they’re Ruffin It.
The Assclaimed Makes Short Work Of Ruffin It
On his way to the ring, Caster would reference January 6th, before saying he had more to say – but someone made him sign an NDA. Austin & Colton Gunn had no town they were in, Bowens set the record straight – and Scissored with Daddy Ass.
Before the bell, Bear Country were taken from the ring, as Ruffin was left in with Austin Gunn. Boulder & Bronson were thrown into the steel steps, before Assclaimed would hit the Quick Draw & Mic Drop for the win. Bear Country were never a factor in this match, and Ruffin was quickly overwhelmed.
After the match, HOOK was announced to be wrestling an LA Dojo prospect from NJPW next week on AEW Rampage.
Jade Cargill Maintains Her Perfect Record
Reigning TBS Champion Jade Cargill has once again issued an open challenge for her championship. It ignores all pre-standing rankings, and anyone was open to challenge. In comes ROH’s Willow Nightingale, who recently battled for the ROH Women’s Interim Championship. She’s got some history with Cargill’s new manager of Stokely Hathaway, and tonight will show she’s no slouch in the ring – and shouldn’t be overlooked simply due to her bubbly personality.
Cargill would get a quick mat return to start this match, but Nightingale popped back up. Enziguri would land, before Cargill would set up a Samoan Drop. Nightingale slipped free, before she’d miss the pounce and be sent to the floor with a pump kick. Cargill would get some help from Kiera Hogan, before being thrown into the guard rail.
Nightingale would take a kick to the back in the ring, before a punt kick to the ribs. Running back elbow in the corner, but Nightingale would block and hit some hard chops to the throat like her name is Ishii. Nightingale hit a shotgun dropkick, before Cargill tried to set up Jaded – but failed.
A roll up got Nightingale a two count, before a Cannonball Senton for the two count. Cargill would hit the Pedigree and Jaded, and Cargill moves to a perfect 33-0 record. Who will lose to Cargill next? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
