Teen actor Tyler Sanders was found dead in his Los Angeles home on June 16, 2022. He is known for his roles as Leo in the Amazon series Just Add Magic: Mystery City. He would also appear in shows such as The Rookie on ABC and 9-1-1 Lone Star. While these are his best-known and recent roles, Sanders’ career dates back to 2015 with a role in the Christian teen sitcom JLW Academy credited as himself.
‘Just Add Magic’ and ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Actor Tyler Sanders Dead at 18
Prior to his last roles, Sanders had also done a number of shorts and some television movies. Sanders looked to have a brief future in acting, having received an Emmy nod for his role in Just Add Magic: City of Mystery. He was also known for his role as a young Jake Otto in an episode of Fear the Walking Dead.
Currently, no cause has been determined for the young star’s death. According to TMZ, police received an emergency call for an unresponsive male and were given young Sanders’ address. He would be declared dead at the scene. Reports say that police found no signs of foul play in the young actor’s death.
Pedro Tapia, the agent for Tyler Sanders says that his client’s death is being investigated at the moment and to expect an autopsy in the coming days. Tapia would say this of Sanders and his family:
“Tyler was a talented actor with a bright future. He comes from a wonderful family, and we ask that you respect their privacy at this time.”
Tyler Sanders was 18 at the time of his death.
