In them, he claims that his daughter Britney Spears is gearing up for a slander campaign on Instagram as well as her pending tell-all book.

Basically, he wants to jump in front of this. Also, any findings during a deposition could give him some firepower in his bid to gain access to the singer’s funds. Honestly, this is an in that Jamie Spears and his legal team were probably expecting after news that the publishing rights to her memoir had been picked up for some big money.
Based on the “Toxic” artist’s Instagram activity before the deal was confirmed and shortly after the conservatorship was terminated, it was an easy read for Jamie’s legal team. If the deposition was slow going before, it has definitely gotten quite the nudge with the recent activities of Britney Spears.
According to the documents, Jamie Spears seeks to tackle the accusations of abuse from his daughter. The deposition from Jamie’s team had gone nowhere for some time after Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart filed court documents saying that the elder Spears sidestepped a deposition request from Britney’s side.
