The Duke of Cambridge Prince William and grandson of Queen Elizabeth II had a milestone birthday on Tuesday, June 21 as he turned 40 and members of the Royal family took to different social media platforms to show their love to the father of three—Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Prince William Celebrates His 40th Birthday
On Twitter, the official page for the British royal’s which shows updates about the Queen and other members of the royal family showed the public a series of pictures in celebration of Prince William one of which was taken during the Platinum Jubilee events earlier this month. Also, the official royal family’s account on Instagram shared pictures through the years; there was a black and white throwback picture of the Prince and there were other beautiful moments that were captured with the Queen.

They wrote in the caption, “Happy Birthday to The Duke of Cambridge!” They added that, “Prince William Arthur Phillip Louis is the elder son of The Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales. He was born at 9.03pm on 21 June 1982, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London. A bulletin, placed on the gates of Buckingham Palace announced that he weighed 7lb 1½ oz.
The official page of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwell, Camilla which is Clarence House was not left out of the picture posting spree as they posted a series of pictures that captured the Father-son moments between Prince Williams and his father, Prince Charles. The caption read, “wishing The Duke of Cambridge a very happy 40th birthday.”
The first picture showed Prince Charles as he held Prince Williams in his hands shortly after he was born and the last snap was a picture where the duo was smiling and Prince William has his arm around his father. Now, the Duke of Cambridge has matched his wife, Kate Middleton’s age as she also clocked 40 in January. Since the Duchess was unable to throw a party due to the coronavirus pandemic, the couple are set to throw a joint birthday bash. Royal sources revealed that the bash might be held at the Queen’s Windsor castle or at Sandringham Estate.
