Gabby Petito’s remains would be found in a Wyoming national park in September 2021. Brian Laundrie’s body was found the following month in a Florida reserve with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He had disappeared as the search for Gabby went on and attention turned to him.
In his confession, he said that Gabby was injured while crossing a stream at night. The injury got worse as they attempted to get back to their car and that the 22-year-old was in a lot of pain. Brian claims to have strangled Gabby to put her out of her misery.
A Laundrie family attorney released the letter which the lawyer representing Gabby’s family considers a convenient story. “He is writing a letter as though he wants people to feel sorry for him,” Patrick Reilly said.
In speaking with WFLA Live, he noted that the whole notebook should’ve been released and that there was another version of the letter as well as a potentially damning letter from Roberta Laundrie.
