Christian Cage has made life hell for Jungle Boy lately, and last time he spoke on AEW TV – had an old friend in Matt Hardy come to stop him – only for Luchasarus to powerbomb Hardy through a table. Tonight, we’ll see if anyone dares to cross Christian and his dinosaur, as they’ll likely suffer the same fate.
Christian Cage Verbally Annihilates Brian Pilllman Jr, Luchasaurus Physically Destroys Griff Garrison
Griff Garrison was in the ring ready to face Luchasaurus. Christian would rip into Brian Pillman Jr, saying that his father was a legend in the industry. However, that’s what others called him – Christian thinks he’s average at best. Chrisitan respects Pillman for spilling his blood in the ring, but he’d be appalled seeing what the final thing he left in the industry is the letdown that is his son.

Luchasaurus would march to the ring, and Christian pointed out Garrison is a taller Jungle Boy. He’d crush Garrison into the corner, before a nasty German Suplex. A chop to the neck would follow, before a big boot crushing the head between a boot and the ring post.
Back in the ring, chokeslam landed – and Christian called for a second. Tarpit was applied, and this one was over. After the match, Pillman took a headbutt, and Christian would put him on the table, and put the Varsity Blondes on top of each other and through the table.
Claudio Castagnoli Gets Tested By Jake Hager
Just about everyone that Claudio Castagnoli teamed with in his career, he won tag team gold with. From Chris Hero to Tyson Kidd to Sheamus to Shinsuke Nakamura, he’s a prolific tag team wrestler – with one black mark on his record. Back in WWE, alongside Jake Hager – they were The Real Americans, but never were able to win the WWE Tag Team Championships. Both men went their separate ways in 2014, but now meet again in AEW. They met during Blood & Guts, and tonight have a big time singles match at Fyter Fest.
Castangoli would rush in with an uppercut, before looking for the neutralizer. Hager blocked, before Castagnoli almost got the big swing. We’d see Hager head to the floor, and nailed Castagnoli with a lariat. Back into the ring, Castagnoli set up and nailed a 619 – getting a two count.
Hager would hit some running strikes in the corner, before Castagnoli would break free and hit the basement dropkick and bulldog for a two count. He’d head up top, but Hager dropped him onto the ropes and planted him with a spinebuster. Hager Bomb landed, getting a near fall. Some jabs would follow, before Castagnoli would throw some uppercuts – only for Hager to hit the takedown.
Castagnoli would be able to fight back, but Hager was being relentless. A short clothesline landed, but Castagnoli would respond with a springboard uppercut. More would follow, before a running dropkick went Hager to the floor, and he’d be met with another uppercut.
Giant Swing in the ring would be followed by a Sharpshooter, and Hager called for help. Matt Mernard & Angelo Parker hit the ring, providing a distraction for a slam – but only got a two count. Ankle Lock would be blocked, and Castagnoli would hit the backdrop driver. Very European Uppercut and Ricola Bomb would follow – and Claudio is 3-0 in AEW!
