After his team initially denied that Drake had a run-in with Swedish cops, the artist posted a legal document detailing his rights under Sweden’s law. This at least points to something occurring where the “Way 2 Sexy” artist had to be detained.
Drake Was Detained in Sweden – Posts Document of Swedish Rights He Received
“Information for Those Suspected of a Crime” is the document given to Drake that details the country’s version of American Miranda rights. So, he addressed that he had been arrested in the country. However, we still have the question of “Why?”
That part isn’t mentioned, so who knows if it was a minor offense or something else. The document was included in several photos from July 17, 2022 of his stay in Sweden.
Drake was released and the speculation at the time was that he had been held on marijuana charges during a party. The Toronto artist’s team was quick to deny that story. What is clear is that sort of Drizzy-involved offense occurred and what we could take from it is that it was probably minor.
Overall, there’s just not much on why the “God’s Plan” rapper was arrested. Plus, he’s out now and isn’t sweating the incident at all. If anything, it seems like it was just an inconvenience to his trip.
What do you believe happened? Do you believe it’s a minor offense or something that will blow up into something bigger in the coming days? Let us know in the comments!
