During their time together in ROH, RUSH & Dragon Lee have proven to be dominant in both singles and tag team action. RUSH is a former two time ROH World Champion, while Dragon Lee is a former ROH World Television Champion. Tonight however, these two brothers will stare across the ring at each other – as they enter a simple one on one match tonight at Death Before Dishonor. Ahead of this match, RUSH had the following to say.
“It’s the first time we’ve faced each other. Two brothers, two champions, ready to give the best of ourselves. Our father taught us to fight. We will give our hearts. No pasa nada”
Brothers Don’t Hold Back
They’d shake hands and hug before the bell, before locking up. RUSH had the power edge, and shoved Lee to the ropes – but allowed the clean break. They’d go to the mat, and RUSH was keen on wrestling his brother instead of cheating – but it was a stalemate.
Shoulder tackles would follow, before Lee hit the kick to the stomach. RUSH would uncork the right hand to jaw of his brother, before cracking the chop across the chest. Lee fired back with a kick to the face, before RUSH hit a shotgun dropkick and a dive to the outside.
He’d whack Lee in the back with a steel chair, before the Buzz Sawyer slam in the ring for a two count. Lee would gain control and placed RUSH on a table on the floor, before diving from the ring and putting his brother through it. They’d trade forearm blows in the middle of the ring, before an overhand chop would land.
Chops turned into kicks turned into German Suplexes. Planting DDT to Lee would land, before RUSH would nail a big superkick. The brothers traded more chops on the ramp, before Lee nailed the pump knee – and ran into a Belly To Belly Suplex off the apron.
Somehow he’d be back up and ready to hit a hurricanrana to the floor. We’d narrowly avoid a double countout, before Lee was launched into the corner, and into perfect position for Bulls Horns – yet Lee kicked out.
RUSH would be set up and dropped with the double stomp, but RUSH kicked out at one – before a powerbomb for a two count. Incineration Knee strike would land, and RUSH would somehow stay in the fight. Superkick would land, superman elbow and Bull’s Horns for the finish.
Mercedes Martinez is as solid as a veteran wrestler gets, but tonight she might have been matched up with the one wrestler who can truly match her across the board. Serena Deeb has been proving her spot as the best female technical wrestler in the world as of late, and when she took interest in Martinez and the ROH Women’s World Championship? Everyone knew what was coming. Tonight, Martinez & Deeb will give their all as they see who deserves to lead the ROH Women’s division.
Deeb would quickly take this one down to the mat, before having an hammerlock applied on her. Chain wrestling was expected, and they’re all but equally matched. Deeb would get an armbar off of an arm drag, before Martinez broke out for the spinebuster. A dropkick would send Deeb rolling to the floor, and Martinez kept the pressure on.
Death Valley Driver was set for the apron, before Deeb slipped free for a spear. Deeb would get a near fall in the ring, before Martinez would hit some clubbing blows. Brass City Sleeper was applied in the ropes for four seconds, before Deeb would block the Spider German Suplex before kick to the face.
Deep double arm lock would be applied, but Martinez fought free into an armbar of her own. They’d kick away at each other in the middle of the ring, before Deeb would look for the Deebtox. Knee strike from Martinez would land, before the Spider German Suplex.
Brass City Sleeper was blocked with a bite to the elbow, before applying the Serenity Lock. Martinez would swing free, before hitting the OG drop for the near fall. Brass City Sleeper was applied, and this one was over.
