Ricky Martin showed that he was not letting his recent incest scandal stop him.
Incest-Accused Ricky Martin Back Performing Music-‘Are You Really Having A Good Time?’
The musician was immediately back in the music scene, as he performed at Hollywood Bowl on Friday, 22nd June 2022. During the course of that process, Ricky was very vocal about how he wanted to put behind any issues that were in the public domain.
And he urged his fans to do the same when it came to their issues. According to TMZ, Ricky told the crowd the following: “Are you really having a good time?
“All I want is for you to forget all your issues tonight and just focus on love and light and let’s just have a good time. Are you ready Los Angeles to have a good time?”
This is exactly the approach that Ricky will be looking to adopt, as he was not found to have done any wrongdoing.
His nephew Dennis Yadiel Sanchez had initially alleged that he was in an incesstuous relationship with the musician for seven months. But after an alleged break up, that is when Martin apparently stalked him.
But once Dennis withdrew those claims, it allowed Martin to focus back on his music. Martin’s following comments confirmed as much: “Thank God these claims were proven to be false.
“But I’m going to tell you the truth, it has been so painful and devastating for me, for my family for my friends. I don’t wish this upon anybody.”
Despite Ricky being cleared, there has still been some damage done to his reputation. No amount of musical performances are going to be able to eradicate the initial accusation that was made.
Therefore, the only way for Ricky to silence his critics is to continue to give great musical performances. And shows like this will go a long way to rehabilitating the singer’s reputation, even if it will not be conclusive.
