Kate Middleton has been branded, Duchess of Tights, in relation to her alleged feud with Meghan Markle.
‘Narcissist Duchess Of Tights’ Kate Middleton SLAMMED For Going On Witch Hunt After Meghan-‘Only A Narcissist Would Dictate, Bully Them To Tears, And Watch Them Ripped’
The nickname went viral across Twitter in response to a revelation from Tom Bower’s book entitled, ‘Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors.’
In that said book, Tom claimed that Meghan and Kate’s disagreements over the dress that Princess Charlotte should wear led to Middleton bursting into tears.
This was on the basis that the two women disagreed over whether Charlotte should wear tights, which led to the emergence of #DuchessofTights trending.
This is not the first time that Middleton has been given a nickname. She was infamously called ‘Waity Katie,’ on the basis that she had become increasingly desperate in her attempts to marry Prince William.
In addition, the Duchess of Cambridge was also called ‘Duchess of Dolittle,’ by William. This was on the grounds of apparent criticism from Queen Elizabeth II that Kate did not have a full-time career.
Despite the variety of names given, it was the reference to tights that got people outraged. A certain subset of people were of the view that Kate had destroyed Meghan’s wedding day by trying to have an input on how the proceedings should go down, rather than letting the ‘Duchess of Sussex’ decide.
One person wrote: “Only a narcissist would dictate to a bride how to organise her own wedding, bully them to tears when they push back, sell a different version of the story to the press and watch them ripped to shreds. #DuchessofTights.”
While another person stated: “I hope that the #DuchessofTights and her team take time to reflect and finally let this story and all its iterations die. It doesn’t make her look good, no matter how this spin it and it certainly doesn’t inspire sympathy.”
As long as Kate and Meghan continue to have tension, then reactions like this will only occur once again. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
