WWE Smackdown Results returned as backstage, Sonya Deville called out Ronda Rousey for attacking her after she wrestled and Ronda went to the ring and Shotzi.

Shotzi took a swing, and Ronda took her down, and called out Liv Morgan to face her to show why they’re fighting for the title at SummerSlam.

Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan vs. Natalya and Sonya Deville

Ronda and Natalya started it off with a shove, and Ronda took Natalya down with an arm bar and Natalya got free as they felt each other out.

Liv tagged in and Ronda helped her with a leg scissors, and then Deville tagged in.

After a counter by Deville, Liv picked up with and hit a dropkick and running knee, then Ronda came in but Deville made it to the ropes when Ronda went for an ankle lock.

Natalya tagged in and took it to Liv with a snap suplex, then sent her to the floor to hit another suplex as we headed to commercial.

We returned and Deville took it to Liv with a knee, then a double team suplex as Natalya took over.

Liv hit a codebreaker, but instead of tagging out she went for the pin, then kept after Natalya to prove a point.

She took a lot of punishment following her decision but fought free, but once again decided not to tag out and she rolled up Natalya for a near pinfall, then ate a discus clothesline for Natalya to almost get the pin.

Ronda tagged herself in and she sent Natalya to the floor, the hit a Super Piper’s Pit on Deville but Natalya hit her from behind.

Liv hit an Oblivion on Natalya while Ronda locked in an ankle lock on Deville for the win.

Jeff Jarret pays for letting them go

Once everyone was introduced, Jeff Jarrett came out to go over the rules, and he didn’t waste any time getting to it.

The teams didn’t waste anytime in trading insults before Double J could get a word in as they asked if various antics would get them disqualified.

    — WWE (@WWE) July 30, 2022

Jarrett pointed out they have creative imaginations, and he said he’s not there to contain them but to let them run wild. His only job at SummerSlam is to count one… two… three.

He then invited one of them to jump, and a brawl started while Jarrett took a seat on the top rope before he ate a superkick by Jey when Ford ducked and Jey looked very worried.

The Usos asked Jarrett if he was okay and Jey took the blame, but Jarrett shoved them both off and Dawkins sent them to the floor. Ford took them out with a swanton.

We’re sure Jarrett won’t hold this against the Usos at all, right?

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods) vs. The Viking Raiders (Erik, Ivar)

Erik and Woods started it off, and after a sunset flip pin attempt by Woods, Erik took it to him and Kofi blind tagged in.

Kofi hit a crossbody for a pin attempt, but he was beaten down by Erik and Ivar. Ivar tagged in and pulled Kofi to the floor, and hit a crossbody against the barricade as we headed to commercial.

After Kofi absorbed a great deal of punishment, Woods came n and sent Ivar to the floor with a dropkick, then hit a tornado DDT on Erik for a near pinfall.

Woods caught Erik with a kick and Kofi followed it with a splash from the top rope, but Ivar broke up the pin.

Erik hit a knee on Kofi and threw him into a Sitton by Ivar. A double powerbomb closed it out for the win for the Viking Raiders.

After the match, the Viking Raiders grabbed their shields and chairs, and knocked Woods out with a shield shot, then put a chair on hit ankle and slammed it with their shields to injure him.

BROCK LESNAR IS HERE! @HeymanHustle is FROZEN in fear. #SmackDown pic.twitter.com/tKnYga4Fg6

    Surprise for Theory

Paul Heyman paced in the ring, looking agitated. Fans saved him from doing his introduction and then put Roman Reigns over for having the Universal Championship for the longest in 35 years.

He promised Brock Lesnar will spoil it over his dead body, and that Reigns will put Lesnar down for 10 seconds and stand over him and they’ll be done with him once and for all.

Lesnar’s music played and Heyman looked terrified when he came out and held his chest and looked to mutter some prayers.

    — WWE (@WWE) July 30, 2022

Once he was in the ring, Heyman offered him the mic as Theory attacked him from behind with the MITB briefcase.

Lesnar took it from him and wore it out on Theory, then hit a pair of German Suplexes that sent Theory to the floor, but he turned into a Claymore by Drew and he and Lesnar stared each other down to close out the show.

This was a great show and the nest Smackdown we’ve seen in a few years. The energy level was higher and everyone seemed to be loose and having fun.
