Jay White is the leader of BULLET CLUB and the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, while Chase Owens is perhaps the lowest ranked heavyweight in the group. Tonight, they meet in B-Block action, and all signs point to a Fingerpoke of Doom situation. After all, what would Owens potentially hurting White do for the greater good in BULLET CLUB? It’s a bad move at best, and one that could get him booted from the group at worst.
Jay White Wants To Pay Chase Owens To Lay Down… But The Money Isn’t There!
They’d meet in the middle of the ring and hit a Too Sweet – before White grabbed an envelope, presumably full of Japanese yen. Owens will only get it if he lays down, and it was passed to the timekeeper for safe keeping. However, he’d go to check it, to make sure he’s not being swindled by the leader of BULLET CLUB.
There was some inside, but it was mostly blank paper cut to look like money. White claims he filled it, and would blame the timekeeper for stealing it. Next time, he should try venmo before the match. Owens took a mighty finger poke in the ring, but White didn’t trust him to not go for a flash pinfall.
White lunged in for Blade Runner – but Owens would be able to counter. The C-Trigger would rock the jaw of White, before he’d kick out just before three. Owens would follow White as he rolled to the floor, before looking for the Package Piledriver. Gedo would plead with Owens to reconsider, and back in the ring White looked for Blade Runner again.
Jay White Gets One Hell Of A Fight
Inside cradle in the ring would get Owens another near fall – before White hit a lariat and went for two quick pinfalls. White would hit a DDT, and tried to force the pinfall – but Owens was looking to fight and maybe beat the World Champion. Blade Buster would land, but again Owens would kick out.
Owens would be able to hit a neckbreaker in the ring, before taking some of the hard chops of White. Superkick would be the response, before a Shining Wizard for a two count on White. Flatliner into the Deadlift German would follow from White, but Owens would block with some elbow strikes before a backdrop driver.
Uranage would plant Owens – but White would still only get a two count. Some knife edge chops would land, before Owens nailed the C-Trigger. Package Piledriver was set, but White would wiggle to freedom, before Owens would move into a Styles Clash for the near fall. Another C-Trigger landed, but White would hit the flash Blade Runner – and got a hard fought victory.
